These terms apply when you use burntendboards.com or buy from Burnt End Boards. Placing an order means you accept them.

The products

Every board is made from natural hardwood. Variation in grain, color, and figure is part of the product, not a defect. Dimensions and weights are close but approximate. Brass develops a patina with use, and that is intended. Boards are made for food preparation and serving. Do not put a board in a dishwasher, leave it soaking in water, or set hot cookware or grill grates on it. Damage from that kind of use is not covered by the warranty.

Ordering and payment

Prices are in US dollars. Taxes are calculated at checkout. We work to keep pricing and product information accurate, and we may cancel and refund any order affected by an obvious error.

Shipping and pickup

We ship within the United States only. Orders ship from Salt Lake City in 5 to 7 business days, and shipping is calculated at checkout by weight. Delivery timelines from the carrier are estimates. Local pickup in Salt Lake City is free. We will hold pickup orders for 30 days after we tell you the order is ready.

Returns and warranty

Returns are governed by our return and refund policy. Every product carries a one-year warranty against manufacturing defects, covering glue seam failure and failure of the threaded inserts, as described on our warranty page. Normal wood movement, small checks, and color change from use are not defects.

Everything else

The content on this site, including photography, copy, and the Burnt End Boards marks, belongs to us. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the product, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah. If we change these terms, the new version applies from the day we post it.
